Once Again Nations Featured A School Day Performance!

Here students had the opportunity to experience the world through music and dance. Nations of San Diego returns to Coronado next February, when  we will invite you to bring your students to a special performance on a Friday in February at 10:30 a.m., at the Coronado High Performing Arts Center, 650 D Avenue, Coronado 92118.

This performance takes students around the world without a passport and includes informative introductions from each dance company director, lesson plans to take back to the classroom, dance performances, and a question-and-answer period post-performance: 

Tickets are just $5 each.  There are only 200 seats available. You may also book a Dance specialist to come to your class to demonstrate and talk about a multi-cultural dance form or to present a general lesson on dance in world culture and society.

2013's performers included:

• Eric Runningpath - Native American Grass Dance, Crow Dance and Hoop Dance 
• Pooja - regional folk dance from Rajasthan with pots, cymbals, sword and swirling movement. 
  
• Blue Ming - performing a regional Chinese dance using drums as both a prop and an instrument
• Tango Alma - award winning husband and wide team performs Argentina's national dance.
• Nanahuatzin Folkloric Ballet -presenting a lively suite of dances from Sinaloa, Mexico.   
• CoSA Dancers - Present Hawaiian Hula using ipu (gourd) and pu'ili (bamboo sticks)
